Four Named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for Basketball

Four Eutectic student-athletes have been announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for basketball: Grace Beyer, Arianna Buduan, and Sara Hameed for women's basketball, and Landon Engelage for men's basketball.

The Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete program recognizes excellence in the classroom by NAIA-member student-athletes who are sophomores or above in academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Students must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at their current institution.

Beyer, who just completed her fifth season on the Eutectic women's team, has now earned the award for the fourth time in her career. Second-year student-athletes Buduan, Hameed, and Engelage are receiving the national award in the first season they have been eligible.

Landon Engelage becomes the seventh student-athlete in Eutectic men's basketball history to receive the award. He is among the 572 athletes from across the NAIA to be named a 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Grace Beyer, Arianna Buduan, and Sara Hameed join the nine other Eutectic women's basketball student-athletes in the program's history who have been honored with the national scholastic award. They are among 887 NAIA women's basketball athletes across the nation to receive the distinction for 2023-24.
