Beyer now 2-for-2 in PoW awards

For the second consecutive week, Grace Beyer of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy was named the Player of the Week for the American Midwest Conference. Beyer won the nomincation in the first week of the season and has now won the award for the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 5.

The Eutectics went 1-1 over that span beating the Baker Wildcats on Friday, but falling to the Benedictine Ravens on Saturday. Beyer combined for 37 points in those two games, going for 37 points in the opener. She posted a double-double against the Cats adding 13 rebounds. Beyer also had five steals and five assists in the opening game of the weekend. Against Benedictine, the UHSP senior added six rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Beyer shot a combined 18-of-39 from the floor in those two games (46%) while pouring in 29 of her 33 free throws (88%). Beyer won the AMC Player of the Week award in the opening four weeks of the season last year. She is now 2-for-2 this year.
