COLUMBIA, MO - The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy men's and women's Cross Country teams ran at the Brian T. Simpson Invitational Saturday morning at Gans Creek Cross Country Course.

The women's team finished 11 out of 11 with the top time of 21:50.31 in the 5K ran by Alyssa McPike which ultimately became a season's best for her and finishing 51st overall. The Eutectics overall had a very good performance with season bests from two athletes in the 5k. Both Abby Baxter and Sophie Eastham set season highs with times of 24:04.84 and 27:47.69, respectively.

In the men's 8K race, the Eutectics had three finishers and did have two season's best from the group. Jeremy Smith finished with a time of 32:13.67 and Enze Hao finished with a time of 40:27.23.

This past weekend's competition was challenging for the Eutectics, but both teams put forth strong efforts. This helps them prepare for their next race which will be at home at the UHSP Fall Classic then at the AMC Championships on November 3rd.
