UHSP Track & Field lands seven Daktronics Scholar-Athletes

On Monday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's and Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes. The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy had seven student-athletes named to the list.

On the women's side, the Eutectics saw Abby Baxter, Arianna Buduan, Lilly Combs and Brianna Ramsey achieve recognition. Overall the 2024 women's list was comprised of 1203 student-athletes. Meanwhile the UHSP men were represented by three athletes: Zachary Brasel, Colten Duvall and Jeremy Smith. The 2024 men's list featured a total of 873 student-athletes.

For Combs, she earns the award for a second straight season while Brasel and Duvall were each named to the list for the third consecutive season. Second-year student-athletes Baxter, Buduan, Ramsey and Smith are all receiving the award for the first season in which they have been eligible.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
