CREVE COEUR, MO – The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy notched their first-ever win over Central Baptist in program history and the win came in convincing fashion.

The Eutectics were playing a Mustang club that was facing a tough challenge as Head Coach Thabo Masoga's group was injury riddled heading into the match. CBC was missing six of their players due to injury and were forced to play with just ten available players. The play on the field was completely one-sided as the Purple and Gold dominated possession time and opportunities in what turned into a 5-0 rout.

The home club did not waste much time and once the first goal was scored it opened the floodgates as UHSP scored three goals in a 4:38 span to leap to a quick 3-0 lead. Alexa Hildebrand put the Eutectics on the board just 8:18 into the game and three minutes later Kyndal Adamas made it 2-0 on a day it was clear that Central Baptist was overmatched. 1:38 later, Hannah Tyree, almost as an afterthought as she was not exactly in striking distance, lofted a kick from 35-yards out that went high into the air. With CBC keeper Rebecca Vandenburg well over her line, the wind slowed the ball and dropped it back to the pitch between Vandenburg and the goal. The ball took one bounce and went into the net for a 3-0 advantage. It was that kind of day for UHSP.

In the second half, Adams scored again in the 58th minute for her second of the day putting the home club up 4-0. Izzy Rogers capped the scoring dribbling all the way from just in front of midfield to the top of the box and putting another past Vandenburg to make it 5-0. The game was called with 13:40 left after CBC's Kitanna Richards, who had already gone down a number of times in the second half, was finally removed with just under 14 minutes left. Already trailing 5-0 and now down to nine players, Coach Thabo decided that was enough. UHSP dominated from start to finish unloading 22 shots to Central Baptist's two. The Eutectics scored five goals on 13 shots on goal while the Mustangs did not register a shot on goal in the game.

UHSP improves to .500 with the win now sitting at 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the AMC. The Eutectics travel to Illinois College for their next game on Tuesday at 7:00pm before hosting former conference foe Lyon next Saturday. UHSP returns to conference play when they host Columbia College on October 13 at 3:00pm.
