Drouin, Ellebrecht, Wesolowski Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced three members of the STLCOP women's soccer team have earned 2018 Women's Soccer Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.

Michaela Drouin (SR/Belleville, Ill.), Morgan Ellebrecht (JR/O'Fallon, Mo.), and Kara Wesolowski (SR/Moro, Ill.) are each receiving the award for the first time.

The NAIA named 732 women's soccer student-athletes from across the nation to the 2018 list.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Drouin, Ellebrecht, and Wesolowski join only one STLCOP women's soccer alum – Katie Helm – who has earned the award in the program's history. The three have also received multiple American Midwest Conference All-Academic honors over the past three seasons.
