Benedictine unloads early as Ravens handle UHSP

ATCHISON, KS – Nationally ranked Benedictine scored 11 in the first quarter and never let up en route to a 26-2 win over UHSP. It was the conference opener for the Eutectics as they faced the 5-Ravens who have scored 20 or more in all eight matches this year.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Reigning Heart Offensive Player of the Week Chanterra Allen had eight goals on 11 shots.
  • Last season's leading scorer Caeley Doran scored her first of the season off a free position shot to get UHSP on the board in the third quarter.
  • Haley Smith had the other UHSP goal in the third with UHSP a man up, 2:27 after Doran's goal, assisted by Gracie Spicer.
  • Kaylen Moore had three goals and seven assists.
  • Brianna Dixon made ten saves in net for the Eutectics.
  • Molly Owen and Margaret Ritson each made one save for the Ravens.
  • Benedictine outshot UHSP 42-5.

UP NEXT:

The Eutectics (1-2, 0-1 HEART) stay in conference play when they host St. Ambrose (0-1) on Thursday in Creve Coeur. Game time is 3:00p. UHSP will then open a three-game road trip when they play at Marian (IN) next Saturday.
