Career day lands Dixon Player of the Week honors

UHSP netminder Brianna Dixon turned in a record-setting day in a Eutectic win in their lone game last week, landing the keeper as the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference's (KCAC) Defender of the Week for the week of March 11-17.

Dixon racked up a career-high 14 saves in the UHSP 11-8 triumph over Truett-McConnell in a game that opened a three-game spring break trip for the Eutectics. She also surpassed the 100 career save mark in the contest. Dixon's previous high mark for this season was a nine-save effort in a 5-4 win over Midland on March 3rd. Dixon has backstopped the Eutectics to an impressive 6-1 start to the season in just their second year of existence. The 14 saves against TMU trump her previous career-high of 12 set last April in a loss to Missouri Baptist.

Dixon leads the country with a Goals-Against Average of 6.00. She also leads the nation in Save Percentage at 55.0. This is the first Player of the Week award for Dixon. She is the second Eutectic to be recognized this season by the KCAC after Caeley Doran was named POW three weeks ago.
