Caeley Doran first Eutectic to be named WLAX POW

Tuesday afternoon, the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy's Caeley Doran became the first ever Women's Lacrosse player to be named Player of the Week by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Doran was named the Offensive player of the week in the conference for the week of Feb. 20-26.

The Eutectics went 1-1 over the course of the week posting a 20-1 win over Mount Mercy University and then dropping a tight 9-7 decision to Culver-Stockton. In the two games, Doran combine for eight goals and two assists. She tied a program record scoring five goals in the win over the Mustangs with those goals coming on just seven shots on goal. Doran added five more shots on goal in the match against the Wildcats that resulted in her hat trick with all three goals coming in the second period in a span of 11:47. Doran accounted for six ground balls and four control draw wins in the two games combined.

Doran and the Eutectics are idle until they travel to Nebraska on Sunday to meet Midland University in their KCAC opener. Opening draw is scheduled for 1:00pm.
