McAllister and Morgan Named All-Conference Honorable Mention

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the 2024-25 All-Conference honors for Women's Basketball, including two UHSP standouts: Montasia McAllister and Karsyn Morgan. The two Eutectic starters were among 11 women's basketball athletes selected for Honorable Mention honors from the Conference. Jada Griggs earned a spot on the AMC Champions of Character team. It is the first career AMC award for all three Eutectic players. 11 Eutectic women's basketball team members were named Academic All-Conference. 

Junior transfer forward Montasia McAllister made an immediate impact on the young Eutectic team this season, starting in 25 games. She averaged 11.2 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game, ranking in the top-ten in the Conference for defensive rebounds (ranked sixth with 141) and blocks (ranked 10th with 19). McAllister was also a threat from the three-point line, averaging 1.5 threes per game to rank 13th in the AMC. She finished the season with an 80% free-throw average and a total of 303 points.

Junior guard Karsyn Morgan missed the final four games due to injury, but started in 24 games for the Eutectics this season. She led the team with 334 total points, averaging 13.4 per game to rank 15th in the AMC while pulling down 4.1 rebounds per game. Morgan was the fifth-best free throw shooter in the Conference, averaging 83.1% for the season, and the eighth-best at shooting threes, averaging 35.6%. She also averaged 2.3 assists per game and tallied 49 steals this season - the sixth-most in Eutectic history.  

Freshman forward Jada Griggs was named as the UHSP representative on the Champions of Character team, which recognizes those individuals who best exemplify the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character Initiative: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.

11 individual athletes from the team were named 2024-25 AMC Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference: Genesis Barnhart, Arianna Buduan, Kiley Dyer, Jada Griggs, Reece Halley, Sara Hameed, Taylor Hitchcock, Jessica Perez, Kailana Reed, Allison Sampson, and Ella Volkart

The Eutectic women's basketball team finished the season with an overall record of 6-22 and a record of 6-16 in Conference competition, just missing an invitation to the AMC post-season tournament.
