
Halley's double-double paces Eutectics in home win over Mustangs

ST. LOUIS, MO – The University of Health Science and Pharmacy (UHSP) delivered a commanding second-half performance to secure an 82-69 victory over Central Baptist (AR). Trailing by four at halftime, the Eutectics stormed back in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents 26-16, and carried the momentum into the fourth with a 24-point win.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Reece Halley was a pivotal force, contributing a double-double with a season-high in both points and rebounds with 27 points and 11 boards.
- Karsyn Morgan led the charge with 15 points, six rebouds and four assists, including a key steal and jump shot at 6:06 in the fourth quarter, solidifying UHSP's lead.
- Montasia McAllister had 14 points, five rebounds and two steals.
- Sara Hameed (10 points) hit a vital three-pointer with 4:17 left, extending UHSP's advantage to 72-65. She added five rebounds and five assists.
- Arianna Buduan made her presence felt on both ends of the floor, grabbing offensive rebounds and assisting on Montasia McAllister's jumper to push the score to 77-67.
- Central Baptist's Aliya Grotjohn spearheaded the visitors efforts with 21 points and four rebounds.
- Raigan Head added a double-double in the loss for CBC with 12 points and ten boards.
- Addison Hudspeth had 12 points for the Mustangs along with six rebounds and seven assists.
- UHSP trailed CBC 36-32 at the half, but outscored Central Baptist 50-33 in the second half.
- UHSP had only ten turnovers in the game while CBC had 15.
- The Mustangs drilled 11 three-pointers on 32 attempts (34.4%) while UHSP was 4-for-33 (12.1%).
- The Eutectics shot a solid percentage from the field (41.3%) and connected on six more field goals while CBC shot 39.1%.
- UHSP is now 11-10 against CBC since 1999, splitting the season series this year.
