Eutectics light it up from beyond the arc to snap skid

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Eutectics set season highs in points and converted three-pointers as they poured on the offense against AMC rival Crowley's Ridge for an 89-68 triumph. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for UHSP. The 14 made three-pointers ties for the fifth most the Eutectics have ever made in a game. It marks the fifth time UHSP has made 14 threes in a game.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Montasia McAllister led all five UHSP starters in double figures with 19 points going 7-for-13 from the floor and 5-of-7 from deep. She added five boards and five assists. It was the sixth time this year that McAllister led UHSP in scoring in a game.
  • Alina Bowden scored 18 points missing just three shots in the game in nine attempts.
  • Ansley Dawson paced the Pioneers with 14 points.
  • Reece Halley and Reece Halley each scored a dozen with Halley grabbing nine rebounds and Morgan pulling down eight rebounds along with four assists and three steals. The rebounds for both Halley and Morgan match the second most each has collected in a game this year.
  • Sara Hameed finished with ten points.
  • UHSP went perfect from the foul line in the game going 13-for-13 while Crowley's Ridge was 6-of-10. It was the first time this season UHSP has not missed a free throw in a game.
  • With 5:44 left in the third quarter, Karsyn Morgan connected for the Eutectics' tenth three-pointer of the game. That was more three pointers than the Eutectics have made in any single game this year with their previous high being nine.
  • UHSP shot 45.6% from the floor while CRC was 37.5%. The Pioneers finished with four more attempted field goals than the Eutectics.
  • Crowley's Ridge hoisted 31 three pointers making eight (25.8%) while UHSP was 14-of-26 (53.8%). That marks the first time this season that UHSP has shot better than even 40% from beyond the arc in a game.
  • UHSP won the rebound battle, 44-40.
  • UHSP led at the half 46-37 and had nine of their 11 players that played in the first half score points.
