Eutectics Complete 2024 Portion of Season with Loss to Saints

The Eutectics wrapped up their trip to the Chicago area and the 2024 portion of their season in Joliet, Ill. today against the University of St. Francis Saints. The Saints, who now boast a record of 10-2 on the season, contained the Euts to 61 points while scoring an impressive 103 in their victory. The Eutectics drop to 2-10 on the season.

Highlights:

  • Both teams shot 50% from the field in the first quarter, but the Saints managed to get off over twice as many shots as the Eutectics and led 33-12 after the first 10 minutes.
  • The Eutectics outscored the Saints in the second quarter 26-16 to cut the deficit to 11 at halftime.
  • Karsyn Morgan (13) was the leading scorer for the Eutectics for the 4th time in the last 5 of their games. She went 3-6 from behind the arc and is currently second in the AMC for 3-point percentage at 41.1%.
  • Alina Bowden was one rebound shy of a double-double, pulling down 9 rebounds and scoring 11 points.
  • UHSP went 17-21 from the line, while USF went 17-20.
  • The Saints' Tykara Harrison led all scoring with 26 points. Abby Shepard had 19, and Symone Harrell had 17.

The Euts have time off to celebrate the Holidays and will return to action on January 7th when they travel to Columbia College for a 5:30 pm AMC matchup.
