Bio

Hickman enters his first year as assistant coach for the Eutectics after three years at Lincoln Land Community College. In his first year as the assistant at Lincoln Land, he helped the Loggers set the single season team record for home runs. That year the Loggers also made it to the District Championships and received votes for the Top 25 national rankings. In his time there, he helped student-athletes reach the next level, sending players to NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools. Before Lincoln Land, Hickman was the assistant softball coach at MacMurray College and Robert Morris University-Springfield. At MacMurray, he helped players set new career highs and doubled their win total from previous years before the pandemic cut the season short. In his first year at Robert Morris, he helped lead the team to the USCAA World Series and a 6th place finish in the nation. 

Hickman is a Springfield, Illinois native. He played college baseball for two years at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois and then William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. Hickman graduated from William Woods with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. He also graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with his Master’s in Education.
