
Pair of one-run games in season finale for Eutectics against HLGU
AFFTON, MO – On the final day of the season, the Eutectics played host to Hannibal-LaGrange in their AMC doubleheader. In game one, Emma Henley again went beyond regulation throwing all ten innings in the circle. UHSP tied the contest with a Hunter Noto sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh and then Noto won it in the tenth with an RBI single to right for a 5-4 Eutectic win. The Trojans took the finale 4-3 on an Anita Kraus go-ahead RBI single in the single.
GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS:
UHSP 5, HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE 4
- The top four in the UHSP lineup accounted for seven of their 11 hits. Kailey Samora went 3-for-5 while Noto and Alicia Kimble had two hits. Kimble had an RBI double in the first to give UHSP a 1-0 lead.
- The three RBI's for Noto matched her second most in a game this year.
- Noto answered a two-run top of the third by Hannibal-LaGrange with a run scoring single in the home half of the frame and later scored on a wild pitch.
- Anita Kraus was 3-for-5 for the Trojans to extend her hitting streak to five games. During her streak, she is 10-for-18.
- Emma Henley (4-10) pitched a season-high ten innings as she was extended into extra innings for the third time this year. The ten innings match her own UHSP record for most innings pitched in a game. Henley went ten frames against Stephens last season on March 24. Against HLGU, she struck out three, walked two and gave 14 hits.
- Madyson Klostermann (3-13) went the distance for the Trojans allowing five runs, four earned on 11 hits. She would walk one and fan three.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS:
HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE 4, UHSP 3
- After HLGU scored two in the first, Alicia Kimble got one back with an RBI single in the bottom of the first.
- RBI's from Samora and Noto put UHSP on top 3-2 in the bottom of the second.
- Kraus went 2-for-4 to see her hitting streak reach six games.
- Samora and Kimble each had two hits for UHSP.
- Trysten Murphy (1-7) went six frames suffering the loss for the Eutectics. She allowed four runs over eight hits while striking out three.
- Alexa Bedford started for HLGU and went just two innings allowing three runs on four hits. She walked a pair and struck out one.
- Faith Hanson (1-3) went five dominant innings in relief to earn the win. The Eutectics notched only two hits off her while she walked one.
- Hallie Roper and Alicia Kimble each broke the single season record for RBI's. Roper finished with 33 and Kimble had 32. Lauren Wright and Sydney Hinojosa both held the previous record with 27.
UP NEXT:
The Eutectics finished out the 2025 campaign with the two games against the Trojans. UHSP ends the year with a mark of 12-26, 5-17 in the American Midwest Conference. They did not qualify for a spot in the AMC Tournament.
