Three Eutectic men run in AMC Championships

The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy had eight runners compete in the American Midwest Conference Cross Country Championships on Friday morning at Frank E. Peters Golf Course in Nevada, Missouri. The UHSP men featured only three runners, thus did not have enough to compete for a team score in the 8K. The women meanwhile finished in fifth place out of the seven teams in the 6K. It was the first time in any of the UHSP's women's careers that they competed in a 6K.

Alyssa McPike continued to set the pace for the Eutectic women, finishing in 28th place overall after a time of 27:09.1. Abby Baxter was 36th at 29:32.6 while Sophie Eastham was 41st at 34:25.7. Donovan Denslow of Missouri Baptist won the individual title on the men's side with a finishing time of 25:14.2. Zach Brasel posted the best time by a Eutectic, finishing 31st at 32:31.0. Smith missed setting a new personal best in the 8K by :43.2. Enze Hao was the final UHSP runner to cross the line and he did so in 43rd position at 41:22.9.
