NAIA's Setter of the Week is UHSP's Cole Cwiklowski

Cole Cwiklowski has been right in the middle of the best season the UHSP Men's Volleyball team has ever had. The veteran setter has quarterbacked the club to a 16-7 record and following a 3-1 week including a run through Tennessee, Cwiklowski on Monday was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HEART) Setter of the Week. Tuesday, Cwiklowski was rewarded with even loftier recognition as he was named the NAIA's Setter of the Week for the week of March 11-17. He is the first Eutectic to ever receive a Player of the Week award from the NAIA in Men's Volleyball.

Cwiklowski piled up 30 or more assists in each of UHSP's four matches over that span, including an incredible 60 assists in their four-set win over Cumberland. Those 60 helpers are a new single-game UHSP record as Cwiklowski easily breaks his own previous mark of 52 set against Clarke on March 8th. He is now the owner of the top 11 spots on the UHSP list for most assists in a single game.

The native of nearby Bridgeton, Mo. put together a double-double in UHSP's third game of the week putting up a dozen digs with 39 assists in their lone loss of the four matches, a four-set defeat to Campbellsville. In all, Cwiklowski totaled 170 assists, 30 digs, three service aces, seven kills, and two attack errors in 18 chances.

The Eutectics are coming off a three-set sweep of Fontbonne last night and continue a stretch of three matches in three days. They jump back into Heart of America conference play tonight and tomorrow when they play at Graceland and Missouri Baptist. UHSP posted victories against both the Yellowjackets and Spartans in their first wave of conference earlier in the season.
