Bio

Liz Rydell is entering her fourth season as assistant track and field coach for the Eutectics for 2024-25. Starting last fall (2023), she also fills the role of strength and conditioning coach for the Eutectics Athletics department.

Rydell earned her B.A. at Illinois Wesleyan University where she was a seven-time national qualifier, earning two NCAA DIII All-American honors, and was a part of four top-four NCAA championship team finishes.

She went on to earn her M.S. degree in Exercise Physiology from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. While there, she was a volunteer coach for the track and field team assisting with sprints, jumps, and hurdles.

Since graduate school, she has earned multiple certifications in the fitness industry. She is a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
