Rough day for the Eutectics at Williams Baptist

WALNUT RIDGE, AR – It was a tough outing for the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Saturday afternoon as they dropped an 8-0 American Midwest Conference decision at Williams Baptist. The Eagles led 4-0 at the half and doubled their lead in the second half en route to the win.

Jacobo Obradors owned the first half for the Eagles scoring each of the four goals in the opening set of 45 minutes. His first goal came just 2:08 into the contest on day where Williams Baptist dominated offensively. The Eagles would outshoot UHSP 37-0 on the day with 19 of those shots coming on goal.

Adrian Briceno would then take over after halftime scoring a second half hat-trick with Matheus Farias netting the other goal as WBU finished off the shutout win. UHSP was looking for their first-ever win against WBU and fall to 0-11 all-time with the loss. Wyatt Taylor got the start in net and allowed six goals making ten saves. Ivan Maldonado played the final 15:07 and made one save allowing a pair of goals.

A Tuesday road trip to Hannibal-LaGrange (6-5-2, 2-3 AMC) at 3:00pm is next on the docket for the Eutectics (1-10, 1-3 AMC) as the continue AMC play. That is followed by a Saturday night affair at William Woods before returning home for a Tuesday morning contest against Harris-Stowe at 10:00am on October 29.
