
Eutectics finish fall season at Columbia Invite
COLUMBIA, MO – The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy wrapped up their fall schedule at the Columbia College Cougar Fall Invite. Brett Bushue was the top Eutectic with a 34th place finish while UHSP finished 11th overall as a team.
William Woods and Columbia far outdistanced the rest of the field finishing first and second with no other team within 38 strokes of them. The Owls won the tournament with a team score of 584 (+8) while the Cougars were at 589 (+13). William Woods' B team finished third at 628 (+52). UHSP was in a group of seven teams that were all within 26 shots of each other, but the Eutectics rounded out that pack with a 665 (+89).
Spencer Worley of William Woods finished the tournament one-under-par at 143 to win the individual crown, one stroke ahead of Columbia's Sean Minor. Worley birdied the final hole of the tournament, the par-5 18th while Minor double-bogeyed the same hole to see Worley overtake him for the win.
Bushue was part of a trio of golfers who tied for 34th at 161 (+17) while Will Turner was two strokes behind Bushue at 163 (+19) and in 38th place. Connor Kosola finished day one at 81 and shot an 84 on day two for a 165 total (+21). Bushue, Turner and Kosola each had a pair of birdies in the tournament. Alex Chandler ended up in 60th place with a 177 (+33). He had an 84 on the opening round but followed that up with a 93 on day two. Abe Neal was 62nd with a 183 (+39) and Cooper Thomas was 72nd at 213 (+69).
