Kennedy held the position of assistant coach for the St. Louis Surge Women’s Professional Basketball Team, helping lead the team to a WBCBL Regional Championship in 2018.

"Robert has a been a welcome addition to our coaching staff", said UHSP Head Coach Danny Brown. "His acumen, professionalism and attention to detail has helped us make a significant jump as a program. Players both relate to and respect his perspective, so the fit has been seamless to say the least. What I love is how well rounded Robert is, he has his hand in a little of everything in the basketball community. Truly a gem to have on staff."
