Four Eutectics Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for Basketball

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list for 2024-25 winter sports, including four UHSP team members:

Arianna Buduan, Women's Basketball
Landon Engelage, Men's Basketball
Sara Hameed, Women's Basketball
Braylon Rios, Men's Basketball

In order to be considered for the scholar-athlete award, the student-athlete must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have been in attendance at the nominating institution one full academic year. This year, the NAIA announced 935 women's basketball scholar-athletes and 626 men's honorees from across the country.

Buduan, Engelage, and Hameed are repeat award winners, having also received the honor for the 2023-24 season. It is Rios's first Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award. All four have also been nominated for the American Midwest Conference Scholar-Athlete award.
