ST. LOUIS, MO – The visiting Hornets put four players in double figures, dominated at the foul line and walked out of the UHSP Gymnasium with a 98-74 win. Bennie Amos III paced the Hornets with 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting while Ty Lampley was dominant with a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds. Harris-Stowe beats the Eutectics for the fourth straight time and have now won 25 of the last 31 meetings.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Dwight Newsome got the start and was the UHSP leading scorer with 19 points.
- Seth Chargois had 23 points and six boards for HSSU while Justin Coleman added 12 points and four steals.
- Harris-Stowe was 28-of-33 from the foul line (84.8%) while the Eutectics were 6-for-7at the line (85.7%). Chargois went 14-for-17 at the charity stripe.
- Landon Engleage added 14 points for UHSP and Moctar Keita had 11 points.
- Harris-Stowe went on a 12-2 run midway through the first half to turn a three-point lead into a 24-11 advantage.
- HSSU began the second half on an 18-6 run.
- Harris-Stowe led at the half 50-37.
- The Eutectics were without regular starters Ahian Barnett and Jas Suvalija who sat out due to injury.

The Eutectics (6-11, 0-8 AMC) return to action on Monday when they travel to Columbia for a rescheduled game against the Cougars (13-5, 6-2 AMC). UHSP will have a pair of home conference games next week when they entertain Crowley's Ridge on Thursday then conference front-runner Central Baptist on Saturday afternoon.
