Cheer Takes Fourth at First AMC Championships

COLUMBIA, MO. – After one year off from competition, the Eutectic Cheer team competed in the first American Midwest Conference (AMC) championships on Saturday at Columbia College, finishing fourth of five teams.

In the Round 1 preliminaries, the Eutectic squad earned their highest score of the season of 51.50 to head into the finals in fifth place, just behind hosts Columbia College, who scored 52.48. In the Round 2 Finals, the UHSP team scored 46.87, beating out the CC Cougars (41.97), to take fourth place in the round. In the Overall total score, the Eutectics tallied 48.03 to edge out Columbia, who finished at 44.60. Saint Ambrose (93.14) and Dickinson State (90.49) were the top two teams, with William Woods finishing third at 77.82.

Mariah Scott was named UHSP's representative on the AMC Champions of Character team, which recognizes those individuals who best exemplify the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character Initiative: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.

Six Eutectics were named 2025 Cheer Academic All-Conference: Andelyse Swan, Emma Harem, Isaac Gallinero, Mariah Scott, Nadia Ryan, and Scarlet Murphy.

The AMC Championships is the final competition of the Eutectics' 2025 season.
