Eutectics Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2018
Chrissi joined the STLCOP volleyball team as a freshman in 1999 as a starting middle blocker/hitter for the Eutectics, making an immediate impact. A leader on the court, she was the Eutectic team captain and received multiple team MVP and All-Tournament Team honors. By the end of her four-year collegiate volleyball career, Chrissi had broken six STLCOP records, and at the time of her 2018 induction to the Hall of Fame, she continues to hold three records for Career Aces (176), Career Total Blocks (428), and Career Solo Blocks (295).
Chrissi was instrumental in the formation of the STLCOP women’s basketball program, and, once fully adopted as a STLCOP intercollegiate sport in 2002, played her remaining two seasons of eligibility for the Eutectics. She was named team co-captain for the inaugural 2002-03 STLCOP team that holds the only winning team record in STLCOP history (as of 2018) and qualified for the NAIA Independent Regional Tournament. During her two years on the team, Chrissi set multiple STLCOP records, scoring 781 points in 44 games to average 17.8 points per game – a STLCOP career record that still holds up 14 years later. Her single-season records for Total Points (445) and Points per Game (19.8) also continue to hold through 2018.
In addition to her strong on-court performances, Chrissi also excelled in the classroom, earning the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete award for volleyball in 2001 and 2002 and basketball in 2002-03 and 2003-04.
