Makenzie Ness, Softball

Makenzie Ness is in her second season with the Eutectics coming out of Texas. She sits fourth on the club in batting average at .367 through 20 games. She got the start behind the plate in the second game against Stephens on March 23. She went 2-for-4 with a run scored and drove in three in that contest against the Stars.

The Eutectics this season have a roster that features at least four catchers. That has give Ness some reprieve from behind the plate as she has not had to shoulder so much of the load from a catching perspective this season. Last year, Ness was relied upon just about every other game as she split time with Kianna Pilling. 

On the year, Ness has a homerun, six runs scored and is third on the club in runs batted in with 11. She has committed just two errors on the year and has a fielding percentage of .957.
